Primary Learning Erik on Tractor

From Grass-Fed Beef to Split rail posts.

Sitting around the kitchen table one summer day, Lakota Elder, Floyd Hand said “what people are lacking these days is Primary Learning.”  What he was talking about was the basic skills that the majority of our grandparents knew as a result of not having the ease and comfort of modern amenities.

Some of us like the simple pleasures of living with the rhythm of the seasons, harvesting and preserving when the fruits are abundant, going out and sitting on a tractor to build a pond, making tools and art out of someone else's garbage, raising our own meat and generally taking care of all of our own needs.

Join Erik Markegard and special guests for this series as we document and teach skills of Primary Learning.
